This unique project was initiated by Hugo Powell, former CEO of Interbrew Americas, for his awe-inspiring 10-acre estate on Lake Ontario. Inspired by a castle that was once home to Henry VIII’s second wife, Chelster Hall is the largest private residence in Canada.

Riordon Design started by designing a brand identity that included a classic typographic for “Chelster Hall”, developing the tagline, “The Building of a Legacy”. Steven Noble was then commissioned to create an illustrative image of the home, in the tradition of an 18th century intaglio etching complementing the typographic as part of the brand identity. In the foreground their two Golden Labs, Chelsea and Chester are featured, after whom the house is named. The project also included the development of a separate brand identity for their Chapel of St. Francis, on the property by the lake.

Also designed were a style guide, stationery system, Trades thank-you presentations, a website splash page and bronze plaques featuring both brands on each gate post at the estate entrance.
