Community Coffee, a coffee roaster and distributor based in Baton Rouge /Louisiana, commissioned the talents of Steven Noble to render the illustrations for their packaging labels. The illustration depicts scenes from New Orleans that includes different landmarks such as St. Louis Cathedral, Bourbon Street and the HNS Steamboat. A portrait of “Cap” Saurage was commissioned who in 1919 founded the company and named it "Community Coffee" out of appreciation for his community of friends and the customers he served. The illustrations were hand drawn in a line art etching style and screened in a light gray pms tone.
