Deutsch Design Works hired Steven Noble to illustrate a series of illustrations for Goose Island "Ten Hills" that included a landscape scene that comprised a field of hops with the Chicago skyline in the background along with a set of individual hops. The purpose of this illustration for their new packaging was to pay homage to Goose Island's Chicago heritage. Ten Hills traces its story to Elk Mountain Farms in Idaho, famous for growing hops of exceptional quality and character. With hops from the "first ten hills" grown for Goose Island at Elk Mountain. The artwork was completed traditionally by hand on scratchboard and colorized in Photoshop.
