The Via Group, LLC was tasked with hiring Steven Noble to create a new logo for the Gulf of Maine Research Institute Logo Identity that conveys the bounty message – an iconic image that includes each of the four elements: lobster, generic fish, scallops and seaweed. These four were chosen specifically to represent the seafood that comes out of the GOM and should not be deviated from this. It was also important that this brand represent the Gulf of Maine (GOM) and the bounty that comes out of its waters. The sensibility is akin to the Champagne region of France and how people view it and For discerning consumers seeking high quality seafood that’s caught fresh in the Gulf of Maine by local fisherman committed to the highest standards and responsibly harvested fishing practices.
