HC Wainwright & Co., a financial institution, commissioned Steven Noble to create an illustration for their logo identity that
includes the Boston State House. The company was founded in 1868 at the Union Bank Building in Boston, Massachusetts, located at the heart of the strongest financial center in post-Civil War America. The Boston State House building has, therefore, become an inportant symbol for the founding of the company and its legacy. The illustration was created in a pen and ink style on scratchboard.
