Sazerac Company, working alongside with Spar Advertising, tasked Steven Noble with rendering their new label illustration that depicts a street scene (French Quarter) from New Orleans from the 1700’s along with the added scrolls and lettering. The illustration was hand drawn on scratchboard in an etching style and printed on their packaging labels. The name "Legendre Absinthe" originally created Herbsaint which is a brand name of anise-flavored liqueur originally created as an absinthe-substitute in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1934.
