Steven Noble was commissioned by Layer Cake to illustrate their new brandmark for their Layer Cake “Bourbon Barrel Aged” labels. The illustration includes the classic sliced layered cake sitting on top of a cake stand. Two illustration versions were created in order to work on both large and smaller applications that includes: (1) large detailed version for 3” and above and (2) small version for .5” - 3.” The illustrations were rendered in a scratchboard woodcut/engraving style and applied on packaging, web and print applications.
