The LBJ Foundation contacted Steven Noble to help with their stationery by illustrating the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum building, also known as the LBJ Presidential Library. Located on the grounds of the University of Texas at Austin, it is one of 13 presidential libraries administered by the National Archives and Records Administration. The LBJ Library houses 45 million pages of historical documents, including the papers of President Johnson and those of his close associates and others. The task was to create this illustration with a 3/4 perspective view and capture the essence of this modern building built in 1971. Two versions were illustrated in this engraving style that includes a detailed version and simplified version for smaller sizes.
