Williams Labadie, an advertising agency based in Chicago, commissioned Steven Noble to create a series of woodcut illustrations for Nature Made for their national prints ads that includes their line of vitamin, mineral and supplement products. The series of spot illustrations, including the various illustrated borders (i.e, grass, wood grain, & vines) located on the edges, are spread throughout the ads to compliment the headline, product descriptions and facts. The illustrations were rendered in a more bold, fun and whimsical style to connect the organic quality of their prodcucts to the organic handcrafted quality of these wood block illustrations.
