Cerester Wines commissioned Steven Noble to create a portrait for their wine label called Serafini under the label Nero D’Avola. Nero D’Avola, the most famous red indigenous grape variety, was introduced in Sicily during the greek colonization, in the eigth century A.D. The custom portrait was rendered in a scratchboard engraving style and supplied digitally.
