Starbucks commissioned Steven Noble to create a series of illustrations for their new SBX Winter FY 2018 promotions for their drink ingredient illustrations. The three illustrations include a cocoa plant & pod, chestnut branch with fruits, and sugar cane sticks with leaves. The illustrations match the style detail of the previous Cascara illustration which was rendered in a scratchboard engraving botanical style. The illustration were printed into posters for distribution throughout the entire world for in store displays.
