The Steven Noble “Hall of Fame” collection II of woodcut and engraving “hand-cut” illustrations (34 years / 1991-2025) created from scratchboard using X-acto knives cut directly into clayboard/scratchboard. The process is created starting from a “solid black” inked board with the artwork being carved by scratching white lines one at a time.The process is done negatively by removing black as opposed to a positive effect which adds black onto the white illustration board.
