Stones Wine owned by Lawrence Fairchild commissioned Steven Noble to create some customized illustrations for their high end wine labels. The two labels they had commisioned includes Stones I and Stones II to be placed in a medallion The first illustration includes the “S” logo that intertwines with the grapes and vine leaves along with a separate illustration depicting Janus with the two faces.
The inspiration for Stones for these unique bottles rose from a vision to create the “Hermes of wine” in terms of quality and luxury. Each vintage is like a special gift to be so exquisite visually that only a handful of collectors would have them. The name Stones, originated from the terroir sources of rocky to extremely rocky vineyards in this region of Norther California with labels hand-made in France.
