Steven Noble collaborated with Dot Matrix Design Group to create a customized logo mark for “The Black Horse Pub.” The pub is a historical landmark established back in 1742 that includes a black horse in the center flanked by the pub building in the background. The artwork perfectly fits the style, look and feel needed to match the heritage and legacy of this historical site rendered in a hand-crafted woodcut style.

The U.S. Copyright Office (2025) recently released a report that clarified that copyright protection applies only to work with significant human creativity. What does this mean exactly? It means that only using AI-generated content cannot be copyrighted. It needs to have a human element added to it, and only the human element can be copyrighted. This is a BIG win for artists, meaning clients can't use AI content and hold exclusive ownership of that work. This makes your role as an artist even more valuable and necessary for clients. Furthermore, a recent lawsuit win with Thomas Reuters reinforces this idea. This court stated that AI-generated content cannot copy existing copyrighted work and share it as their own for business purposes.
