"The Cottage," a restaurant located in Westport / Connecticut, commissioned Steven Noble to create an illustration for their new logo identity. Chef Brian Lewis, one of Connecticut's most celebrated chefs, wanted a logo that reflects the rural landscape and community in the region along with the hand-crafted dishes from his restaurant.
The style and technique used was more of a rustic woodcut style that symbolizes "organic" and "from the earth" feel. The illustrations were used in three different ways including circular logo lock-up, along with a small and cropped version of the horizontal landscape scenes.
