This is Colt, a brand identity design firm, commissioned Steven Noble to create one b/w custom illustrated logo in a scratchboard woodcut/engraving style that includes a horse on it’s hind legs being struck by a lightening bolt with it’s skeletal structure showing through the body. The goal was to create a logo that looked more "high-end and polished" so that there’s an interesting juxtaposition between the styling and the fact the horse is being hit by lightening/electrocuted as well as a lightening bolt shown above and below to add some visual balance.
