VSA partners was tasked with re-designing the packaging and hiring Steven Noble to illustrate all the illustrations for Virtue's bourbon-barrel aged cider aptly named The Mitten is a reference to the state from which it came. The basis for the label design is a re-creation of the seal of Michigan, adorned with coins that highlight elements of the cider making process with illustrations that included a crest flanked with a reindeer and moose along with some apples ingredients in the background in a woodcut style.
Virtue Cider is a craft-cider company located in Fenville, Michigan. Founded by the former brewmaster of Goose Island, Greg Hall, Virtue's mission is to create European-style ciders crafted from fresh heirloom apples.
